<p>An electrical arrangement is disclosed comprising a circuit to supply current to a discharge lamp (19). The circuit comprises a low voltage source of alternating current in the form of a square wave generator (1). The current is fed to two transformers (12, 13), the primary windings (10, 11) of which are connected in series, the transformers (12, 13) being physically located immediately adjacent the electrodes (17, 18) of a discharge tube (19). The secondaries (15, 16) of the transformers (12, 13) are also connected in series, and are connected to the electrodes (17, 18) of the discharge lamp (19). Only extremely short high-tension leads are provided extending between the secondaries (15, 16) of the transformers (12, 13) and the electrodes (17, 18). <IMAGE></p> |
