A conveyer constituted by an endless train of troughs 10 is driven frictionally by ropes 21, each trough being carried by rods 13 and each rod being secured at each side at 14 to an endless rubber band 16 which has a groove 17 which engages the respective rope 21. Each band 16 is provided with two such grooves 17, the upper groove serving to engage the rope on the return path. Each trough has a corrugation 27 for strength and two corrugations to allow relative turning movement between contiguous troughs. |
