<p>PURPOSE:To provide an adsorbent for purification of hydrocarbons with high adsorptive activity and high desorption temperature at which adsorbed hydrocarbons are desorbed. CONSTITUTION:The adsorbent is prepared using a molecular sieve bearing silver. The molecular sieve is such as zeolite, porous carbon, interlayer graphitecompound or interlayer clay compound. In addition, the molecular sieve may be a metal substituted between the isotypes. Silver can be borne by the molecular sieve using routine methods such as ion exchange, impregnation and immersion. When using this adsorbent for purification of hydrocarbons in an exhaust gas, a catalyst for purification of an exhaust gas in arranged in the downstream of the adsorbent.</p> |
