Two hollow cylindrical bodies (2,4) are sized so as to engage in and pivot relative to each other and comprise the protective handle. The two pieces have identical lengths, and two longitudinal grooves (3,5). Two washers or end stops (6) are fixed to one end of each of the two hollow bodies. Each of these washers has an opening (9) of identical dimensions to those of the longitudinal grooves. By introducing and passing through the grooves the supple handles of the carrier bag and then rotating the two pieces, the passage formed by the grooves is blocked. USE - Protects the carrier's palm from the bag handles.
