PURPOSE:To manufacture a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin structure having a high mechanical strength, which is reinforced by long fibers, efficiently and economically. CONSTITUTION:With a continuous reinforced fiber bundle being drawn, the bundle is impregnated with fused thermoplastic resin. Reinforcing fibers, which are alinged substantially in parallel and have a weight of 5-80wt.% of the entire weight, are contained in a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin structure. When the fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin structure is manufactured, the end of the used fiber-dundle wound body and the end of the new fiber-bundle wound body are connected by using an air splicer. Thus, the fiber bundles are continuously supplied. |
