PURPOSE:To reduce the laser beam machining energy and machining time by condensing reflected visible rays from a work to detect completion of piercing. CONSTITUTION:The laser beam machine is provided with plural sensors 4a to detect the visible rays reflected from the work 1 and these rays are condensed to detect completion of piercing by a completion detection part 5. An optical signal from the sensor tip 4a is sent to the completion detection part 5 via a diverging part 4d to concentrate on one place on the way through a fiber cable 4c. Consequently, the completion of piercing can be surely detected according to the work without sticking to material, thickness, machining conditions, etc., of the work, a loss of energy and a wasteful time by carrying out wasteful piercing till the set time is completed can be reduced, further, the sensors can be set at the free positions, hence this is highly versatile and even an abnormal machining condition can be detected. |
