PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal transfer image receive sheet capable of forming record image having excellent coloring density, clearness, and light resistance by providing a dye accepting layer containing a compound to be expressed by a specific general formula on a base material sheet. CONSTITUTION:At least one kind of compounds to be expressed by formulas I, II, III and IV (R1, R2, R3 each expresses a hydrogen atom and a 1-12C alkoxy group and a 1-10C alkyl group, X expressed an oxygen atom or NH group, R5 expressed a 1-10C alkylene group, R4 expresses a 1-3C alkyl group, and Y expresses a hydrogen atom) and a synthetic resin such as vinyl resin and polycarbonate resin are dissolved in a solvent so as to prepare a coating liquid for forming a dye accepting layer. A base material sheet such as synthetic paper and plastic film is coated with this coating liquid and dried so as to make a thermal transfer image receive sheet. When the adhesive force of the base material sheet to the dye accepting layer to be formed on the surface of the sheet is low, it is suitable to treat the surface with primering or corona discharge. |
