METHOD OF FORMING SHAFT FOR AUTOMOBILE

The method for forming the propellor shaft of a rear axle driving vehicle employs a rear impact extrusion process for making an integral body combining a yoke with a tube. The method is composed of forming a combined body of a yoke (12) and a tube (11) by using rear extrusion, and welding a separately formed yoke (15) to the tube (11). The method offers reduction of manufacturing cost by shortening the process and improves the riding comfort by reducing vibration and noise on high-speed running.
