The transmission identification method involves using identifying information contained in a transmission alongside audio and/or video information. The identification information is separated from the audio and/or video at the receiver. The identification information is entered in a memory in response to a user input requesting the transmission identification, with subsequent read-out from the memory. The identification information is coded at the transmitter side and is entered in the memory at the reception side in coded form. The information is decoded upon read-out from the memory. USE/ADVANTAGE - For transmitting music title, composer etc. alongside audio transmission. Enables better learning of music titles.
