PURPOSE:To simultaneously prolong the lifetime of a blast furnace and operate the furnace in a stabilized state by providing high corrosion resistance, high alkaline resistance and high thermal conductivity against hot metals. CONSTITUTION:In terms of carbon refractories for blast furnace lining service, their main components include roasting smokeless coal 10-50wt.%, artificial graphite or natural graphite 10-50wt.%, silicon carbide 5-25wt.%, metal silicon 1-15wt.% and alumina 1-15wt.%, which increases resistance against hot metals and indicates a higher thermal conductivity. This constitution makes it possible to carry out stable operations no matter how harsh their operating condition is, and to prolong the lifetime of blast furnace. |
