PURPOSE: To provide a method which generates electric energy certainly, permanently, at high yield, and without dispersing hazardous matter, by treating inexpensive biological raw material, especially C4 plants. CONSTITUTION: By partial oxidation in an oxidation reactor 2 using an oxygen gasifying agent, combustible gas which contains CO and hydrogen is generated from a natural biological raw material whose sulfur content is enough few. Component ratio of oxygen to the biological raw material and a gas phase temperature are adjusted and maintained, suspended matter in the combustible gas extracted from the reactor 2 is removed by a separator 8, the combustible gas from which suspended matter has been removed is converted to electric energy in a fuel cell 10 which includes a porous positive electrode 11, a porous negative electrode 12, a carbonate melting body, and electrolyte 14 composed of acid or oxidized metal which acts at the temperature of at least 800 deg.C. |
