PURPOSE:To provide a vehicle suspension device wherein durability of an actuator can be improved while increasing a vibration damping effect of a vehicle at the time of inputting fine amplitude. CONSTITUTION:A device is provided with a shock absorber (b) interposed between a car body side and each wheel side to be capable of changing a damping characteristic by a damping characteristic changing means (a), springing part action detecting means (c) for detecting springing part action of a vehicle, damping characteristic control means (e) having a basic control part (d) for outputting a control signal to the damping characteristic changing means (a) in order to control each shock absorber (b) to a damping characteristic in proportion to the control signal obtained from a springing part action signal value and a damping characteristic control means (e). The device is provided with a peak value holding control part (f) for fixing a target damping characteristic to a peak value even when the target damping characteristic as a control result by the basic control part (d) is decreased less than the peak value of the target damping characteristic, during the time before reversing the direction of the control signal thereafter, when the control signal is less than a predetermined fine amplitude threshold value. |
