摘要

PURPOSE:To improve durability and traveling property of the magnetic recording medium containing the ferrite magnetic powder having hexagonal system under wide range of environmental condition, particulary under a low temp. and low moisture condition. CONSTITUTION:As the lubricant in a magnetic layer, the combination of (A) and (B) or (A) and (C) of fatty ester is used. (A) consists of a 14-16C or 18C aliphat. satd. fatty acid and an aliphat. monovalent alcohol having alkoxy substd. alkyl group whose at least one hydrogen atom is substituted by alkoxy group. (B) consists of a branched structural 8-18C fatty acid for whose at least one hydrogen atom, a 1-4C alkyl group is substituted and a 3-6C polyvalent aliphat. alcohol. (C) consists of branched structural 8-18C fatty acid for whose at least one hydrogen atom, a 1-4C alkyl group is substituted and a 3-20C branched structural aliphat. monovalent alcohol for whose at least one hydrogen atom, a 1-4C alkyl group is substituted.
