<p>PURPOSE:To provide a timer for which undesired output to be generated when data identical to the reset value of a counter are written in a register is prevented from being generated and held. CONSTITUTION:The count value of the counter 17 for counting clocks is compared with the data of the register 15 by a comparator 16 and a coincidence signal is outputted when they are coincident. The data of the register 15 are supplied to a detection circuit 12 as well and the circuit 12 detects whether the data are identical to the reset value of the counter 17 or not and generates a detection signal when they are identical. The data of the register 15 are changed to the other data by the detection signal.</p> |
