PURPOSE:To process a communication processing which requires prescribed time and the starting of a document tool in parallel so as to shorten response time. CONSTITUTION:A host computer 18 and a work station 11 are connected by a communication line. This system is provided with the document tool 16 displaying/editing and printing a document content when a work station-side displays/edits and prints a document registered on the host computer 18, a means generating a synchronous flag 13 showing whether document data is being obtained from the host computer 18 at present or not, a document data acquirement means 15 which requests the document to the host computer 18, acquires document data and controls the synchronous flag 13 after it is acquired and a document tool processing means 14 starting the document tool 16 corresponding to document data and controlling the read timing of document data into a main memory by the monitoring of the synchronous flag 13. The document data acquirement means 15 and the document tool 16 are processed in simultaneously parallel. |
