In the diffusion layer application for metal components, after the surface has been prepared a powder mixt. is prepared from separate components and the component is inserted into the powder. The powder mixt. is compressed and the container is hermetically sealed for heating, followed by cooling and emptying of the container. The metal unit is separated from the powder and cleaned, and the powder is recycled for further use with replacement of components lost through diffusion. USE/ADVANTAGE - The method gives a diffusion layering to metal components such as in machinery mfg., chemical or petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries, in transport applications and other uses where they are subjected to highly aggressive materials and high temps. The system gives a continuous and automatic diffusion layering action for metal components with variable geometry and shapes.
