The ship is of a multiple hull type with at least two parallel drive bodies permanently under the water surface. The drive bodies have supports extending through the water surface and short bow and stern structures near their free ends of reduced cross-section which carry the living quarters, drive and navigation equipment. The space between the bow and stern structures is divided into loading compartments running crossways to the longitudinal direction of the drive bodies. These compartments are provided with a floatable immersion platform for accommodation and carrying of the small craft to be carried. USE/ADVANTAGE - A LASH (lighter aboard ship) vessel which has a high loading capacity and can load and discharge in any sequence or simultaneously.
