PURPOSE:To reduce the use of polystyrene foam and the like in quantity to promote economization in resources and facilitate the disposal of the waste after use to prevent the environmental pollution. CONSTITUTION:The subject relates to a hexagonal member of a cushioning body for packing in which a pair of opposite angles form a right 1 angle and three pairs of opposite sides are substantially parallel and which is cut out of a board-shaped member having in the direction of the thickness at least two layers, being a flexible layer A and a rigidity-retaining cushioning layer B, and having a thickness of (d). Given (w) as the total or a part of breadth of the cushioned body itself 1, it is cut for the full thickness at the front and the rear with the breadth (w) in the middle along a line TS which is parallel to the longest diagonal line at a distance of substantially (d) apart therefrom. In the remaining middle part the flexible layer A is left to remain and a cutting line 10 is put in the rigidity-retaining cushioning layer B so that, given O, P as intersections where a pair of vertical cutting lined 20, 21 rising from the two ends of a segment at the breadth of (w) in the middle of the parallel line TS meet the sides UV and VQ respectively, MRN and OVP are cut off by the parallel opposite sides MN, PO in this member for cushioning body for packing. |
