Process for the production of ceramic substrates through the technique of casting onto a belt, essentially comprising the following stages: - formation of a homogeneous dispersion of the ceramic powder comprising an oxide material such as Al2O3 or ZrO2 having a high degree of purity, with particles of submicron dimensions, with suitable additives; - deposition of the suspension formed onto a smooth belt of uniform thickness in accordance with the technique of casting onto a belt, maintaining the thickness of the layer of suspension spread in this way constant; - bringing about evaporation of the dispersant, then separating the cast and dried layer from the casting belt; - obtaining substrates of the desired shape by cutting or punching the said cast layer; - the substrates so obtained are subjected to heat treatment in order to remove organic components through combustion and achieve sintering of the ceramic powder in order to obtain the finished product. The invention lies in the scientific field of chemistry, physics, more particularly in that of supports for electronics and microelectronics. It finds application in the field of ceramic products especially used in the manufacture of electronic circuits and microcircuits. The most significant advantages are: greater simplicity of manufacture, use of water as the dispersant in comparison with previous techniques in which polluting organic substances were used.
|
