APPARATUS FOR GENERATION AND INSPECTION OF ERROR CORRECTION CODE OF MESSAGE IN MESSAGE CHANGEOVER SYSTEM

PURPOSE: To provide an error correction device for securing maintenance of a message exchanged between data processing terminal equipments by providing an error correction code generation means and an error correction code inspection means. CONSTITUTION: A control block management circuit 42 retrieves a packet control block PBC and sends retrieval PBC to a CRC inspection circuit 46 through a bus 44. The management circuit 42 reads former CRC and sends it to the CRC inspection circuit 46 through a bus 50. The inspection circuit 46 calculates new CRC from a received data burst byte, inspects whether calculated CRC is equal to the received CRC and stores the new CRC in a CB memory 40 instead of former CRC when they do not match. Thus, CRC is inspected on respective bursts and the result is stored on all the bursts belonging to the message.
