PURPOSE:To enable a faulty engine control unit to restart the desired control as soon as the control unit is reset in a normal state and also to minimize the reduction of the time when other control units can use a multiplex communication line. CONSTITUTION:A multiplex communication equipment contains plural control units connected to a multiplex communication line 9. In such a constitution, an engine control unit 1 carries out the control based on the control unit received from a slip control unit 2 and the communication is performed between both units. If the unit 1 has a fault, the mutual communication is carried on as it is between both units 1 and 2. This mutual communication, however, is discontinued when the unit 2 has a fault. |
