PURPOSE: To improve such characteristics as exposure reciprocity law, speed, residual silver, color reproducibility and graininess by forming the 1st one of blue-sensitive layers as an emulsion layer positioned farthermost from the substrate and imparting a specified structure. CONSTITUTION: In this multilayered color photographic element, the 1st one of the blue-sensitive layers is a blue-sensitive layer having the highest sensitivity and an emulsion layer positioned farthermost from the substrate. The 1st blue- sensitive layer is a layer deficient in coupler and does not contain a yellow image forming copupler. The 2nd one of the blue-sensitive layers is adjacent to the 1st blue-sensitive layer. The 1st blue-sensitive layer consists of a dispersive medium and silver bromoiodide and this silver bromoiodide is octahedral, has 0.45-1.2μm particle size, contains 1-12mol% iodide and has a core region A contg. 50-90wt.% silver bromoiodide, a surface region B and a sub-surface region C between the regions A, B. The region C has a higher iodide concn. than the core region A.
