PURPOSE:To obtain a conditioner which enables the reuse of a water-contg. soil for back filling, etc., without drying the soil in the sun by using a water-sol. carboxylated polymer powder having a specified mean particle size. CONSTITUTION:A water-sol. carboxylated polymer powder having a mean particle size of 0.05-0.4mm is used as the conditioner. The polymer usually dissolves in water in a concn. of at least 1g/100ml and contains structural units having carboxyl groups as hydrophilic groups in an amt. of the units of 1-80mol% based on all the monomer units constituting the polymer. The carboxyl groups may be in the form of acid or salt. A water-contg. soil to which the conditioner is applied is usually a low-flowability one having a slump value of 4cm or lower, esp. 2cm or lower, and can be conveyed on a dump car. The soil amendment is expected when the conditioner is applied to a surplus soil produced in the construction of water supply and sewage facility, road work, preparation of housing site, etc. |
