PURPOSE:To shorten the processing time required for forming images and thus facilitate changing the recording density by changing the processing speed in accordance with images to be formed. CONSTITUTION:The device comprises a photosensitive body and peripheral parts thereof and is provided with a processing unit 202 for conducting image formation by the use of an electrophotographic method, a transportation unit 203 for taking recording papers out of a paper supply cassette and transporting them, and an optical unit 105 for describing images on the photosensitive body in use of laser beam. Furthermore, it is equipped with a stepping motor 204 for driving a photosensitive body of the processing unit 202, developing rollers in a developing part and the like, and paper supplying rollers and resist rollers, and a control unit 201 for changing the frequency of a pulse to be applied on the stepping motor 204 on the basis of the image region on a photosensitive body and a recording density of the images. |
