Metallic honeycomb body is made of partially standard sheet, which curves in convoluted patterns about rotation points (2a,2b,2c; 7a,7b,7c) formed both towards the inside and outside of the body. At these points, the direction of curvature of the sheets is changed so that the sheet can pass back along itself. At least 3 rotation points, pref. at least 4, are found in the outer part and the same number in the inner part of the structure. The central part (17) of the structure is hollow. 1-10, Pref. 3-5 sheets are used to produce a circular structure with the contact points hard soldered together. The structure is then deformed by pushing in at 4 points (2a,2b,2c,2d) and supporting at 4 points from inside (7a,7b,7c,7d) to create a star formation which is rotated and the solar arms compacted against each other. USE/ADVANTAGE - As catalyst supports in exhaust pipes of vehicles. Only a small number of sheets is required to build the structure in a uniform manner.
