PURPOSE:To keep the visibility of road signs high in rainy days and at night for long periods. CONSTITUTION:In a road sign formed by coating the surface of road with a melt-or solvent-type paint, an active energy-rays hardened resin varnish film as a top coat layer is provided for the road sign. After coating the pavement with the melt- or solvent-type paint, the active energy-hardening type resin varnish containing glass beads is applied to the paint film, and an active energy rays are irradiated to the resin varnish film to harden it. The road sign having excellent wear resistance and excellent visibility can thus be kept for long periods. |
