The coupler comprises two head clips (3), one above the other for gripping the tubes (6,7). The clips are hinged to a centrepiece (2). The two opposite parts (4,5) of the centrepiece form a cross with double pairs of legs (11,12) at its ends, each pair of legs making a U-section to hold the bolt (26) with a nut (18) and washer (19) for tightening. The clips are unsymmetrically curved to apply forces on the tubes inclined to the centrepiece. USE/ADVANTAGE - A coupler made of cold pressed sheeting, with two bolts (26), for joining two scaffolding tubes at right angles to one another. Improved design, more joint rigidity, light construction while maintaining normal usage tube sliding requirements.
