PURPOSE:To record much more images by effectively using remaining developer even after the remaining quantity of the developer is equal to or under a specified quantity. CONSTITUTION:A control part 7 counts the number of recorded sheets from the time when a toner sensor 47 detects that the remaining quantity of toner in a hopper 41 is equal to or under the specified quantity (remaining quantity of toner is small) to the next time when it detects that the remaining quantity of toner is small. The control part 7 variably decides recording performable number by using a specified quantity of remaining toner based on the number of recorded sheets, a specified quantity and the replenishing quantity of toner per one time after detecting that the remaining quantity of toner is small. Then, it counts the number of recorded sheets after detecting that the remaining quantity of toner is small, and inhibits the execution of recording actions in the case the hopper 41 is not replenished with the toner until the number of recorded sheets attains the recording performable number. |
