PURPOSE:To establish a inexpensive means to make high performance and to extend the life by improving corrosion resistance of chemical plant, equipment or the like made of Ti or Ti alloy. CONSTITUTION:In a plant, equipment using titanium containing <0.01% content of elements of platinum group as the impurities, that is, substantially free from the elements of platinum group as a structural material, the titanium member is incorporated with a constitution made by bringing into contact with at least one of (a) a corrosion resistant titanium alloy containing 0.03-0.1% one or more kinds of elements of platinum group and (b) a corrosion resistant titanium alloy containing 0.02-0.12% one or more kinds of elements of platinum group and 0.1-2.0% one or more kinds of Ni, Co, Mo, W, V, Ag, Cr and Sn. As a result, corrosion resistance is inexpensively improved. |
