A device for measuring tightness includes a pump (12), with an actuating motor (14), which extracts water from a pressure vessel (16). Water is brought to the vessel from a tank (22) via a suction duct (20). A second duct connects the pump to a distributor (26) linked to several water circuits (281,2,3..). Each circuit is provided with a water meter (36i) and an isolating tap (38i). Two sheet piles whose joint is to be tested are placed inside an enclosure (40) with two measuring sections connected to the water circuits.
