<p>The invention relates to a method for unloading a crate stack (K). In the method, a crate stack (K) is placed along a conveyor track (13) into an unloader (10) into a free space between vertical walls (11c1, 11c2) of a frame of the unloader, and the conveyor track (13) and the crate stack (K) on top of it are lifted by means of a carriage (12) to an upper position.
