Then the CPU 8 calculates quadratic differential data, scans the data after storing the data in a quadratic differential data storage 9c, detects an area as a stable area when the quadratic differential width of the area is narrower than a set width over a length longer than a set length and the corresponding thermal analysis data show a more gentle gradient than a fixed gradient, and detects the peak of the differential data as the maximum gradient point after scanning the differential data. Finally, the CPU 8 calculates a transition point and heat of transition by using the peak point, stable area, and maximum gradient point as designated points and outputs the calculated results to a CRT 7, etc.</p>
