Means for barring animals, in particular rats, from entering a network of tubes, for instance a section of a sewerage system, said means comprising a hatch or a body, which in a transition well is hinged at level with and covering the outlet from the network of tubes into the transition well. To ensure that the animals cannot by repeated attempts manipulate the hatch and thereby gain access to the blocked network of tubes, the transition well is constructed in such a way that the outlet from the network of tubes is placed higher than a possible level of liquid in the transition well, the outlet projecting somewhat into the well, that the well is provided with a cover placed immediately above the outlet from the network of tubes, in which cover the hatch or the body is hinged, and in that the cover is provided with guiding protrusions or similar means for ensuring that the mounting of the cover only can take place in a predetermined angular position. |
