The cores of the cable are gripped by two opposed contact springs (42,43) in a block (4). Three adjacent cable entry sockets (3) are provided each with a body (30) and an integral stress relief device (31) extending above its central opening (32), with projecting ribs (33) dimensioned to define an aperture of dia. slightly smaller than that of the cable. The latter is pushed through the opening in the body and held by a force exerted substantially vertically over its surface. USE/ADVANTAGE - Esp. with connection and distribution sockets, a simple and manageable device provides effective relief of stress and pressure on the cable.
