A mother-of-pearl figure forming method wherein a mother- of-pearl film on which mother-of-pearl pieces are compactly and adhesively covered is attached on a basically varnished plate, a silk with transferred figures is put thereon for silk printing, nitric acid and hydrochloric acid are applied on the overall surface so that portions excluding printed figures are etched and only the figures are embossed, and a finish varnishing is performed thereon, thereby easily forming fine and various figures and reducing production cost.
