To recover wave energy from a watercourse, several floating bodies are connected with links so that as the bodies move, useful energy is generated. The distance between the centre of buoyancy of at least one of the bodies and the swivel axis of its link is adjustable. Each floating body consists of at least two telescopic sections which can be pulled apart to increase its total volume. Each end is connected by the cross-over swivel links to the end of the next floating body. Where the links are attached to the bodies, pivoted connecting rods are joined to pistons in cylinders. The position of the pivots is adjustable. ADVANTAGE Generates energy under all weather conditions provided waves are present.
