PURPOSE:To form projection portions as a detected body of an electromagnetic pick-up to enhance the detection precision, by forming a plurality of the projection portions on an outer peripheral surface of an opening terminal end of one bottomed cylinder body at constant pitches in the detector for a vehicle, and forming pawl portions on an opening terminal end of another bottomed cylindrical body in a manner to engage with the projection portions in the inner peripheral direction thereof. CONSTITUTION:A pair of bottomed cylindrical devided portions 37a, 37b mounted on an input shaft of a torque converter are used to constitute a rotation-speed detector by causing a frictional engaging member and a built-in second clutch drum to be connected together in a manner that their ends face each other. One bottomed cylindrical divided portion 37a is formed, on the outer peripheral surface of its opening end, with a plurality of projection portions at specified fixed pitch in a form which makes the inside diameter large. The other divided portion 37b has an opening end formed with pawl portions 38 axially projecting and engaging with inner peripheral surfaces of the projection portions 36 so as to integrate both the divided portions 37a, 37b through mutual engagement of the projection portions 36 with the pawl portions 38. By rotation of the projection portions 36, the magnetic field is varied, and this rotation is detected by an electromagnetic pick-up 46 disposed on a casing so as to defect the number of rotation. |
