PURPOSE:To stabilize propagation mode inside an optical waveguide regarding an optical integrated circuit wherein a photo element, an electrical element, etc., are arranged on the same substrate through a waveguide. CONSTITUTION:In an optical integrated circuit wherein a substrate mount matter such as an optical element and an electrical element are arranged on a substrate 1, clad layers 21, 23 are formed to make a product (n1.d) of an interval (d) between a waveguide layer 22 of a waveguide and a substrate mount matter 3 arranged on the waveguide and a refraction factor (n1) of a clad layer equal to or larger than a refraction factor (n2) of the substrate mount matter. |
