PURPOSE:To easily retrieve a document from a document file. CONSTITUTION:This device is equipped with an integrated file 21 which stores a summary for retrieval including the plural leading lines of the document stored in a document file 20, and the file name of the document after gathering it into one document. The summary for retrieval of the document is stored in the integrated file 21 according to the registration declaration of the document from a document registration declaring part 15, and the stored summary for retrieval is called by a summary calling means. Thus, the plural leading lines of the document stored in the document file 20 can be displayed with the file name, and the content of the document corresponding to the file name can be recognized without calling the document, so that the retrieval of the document can be simplified. |
