<p>PURPOSE: To provide a method which can specify a multimedia data object asynchronously from an application program and alter it interactively. CONSTITUTION: A play list 42, wherein the multimedia data object is defined as a mathematically generated data stream, is constituted in a memory, and a play list processor 40 reproduces it. This function is provided for the application program through an application programming interface as a mechanism which generates one composite object from smaller objects, defines behavior for this composite object, and defines a method for allowing the behavior to be altered based on the external event.</p> |
