The hose has a hollow tubular sheath (1) enclosing a fluid core (20 with a higher refractive index than that of the sheath between 2 and stoppers (3, 4) for entry and exit of the light. The fluid core (2) is filled in the sheath under pressure. Pref. one end stopper is fitted in the end of the sheath and bonded to the latter before filling with the pressurised fluid and fitting the second end stopper. The pressure of the fluid core is at length equal to the ambient pressure at the min operating temp. and remains below the pressure limit of the sheath at the max operating temp. USE/ADVANTAGE - For transmission of light e.g. between light source and front or rear of road vehicle. Prevents penetration of gas into fluid when used over long period of time, for maintaining transparency characteristic.
