PURPOSE:To provide interimage effect and to improve sharpness by constituting a photographic sensitive material to contain at least one kind of specified compds. CONSTITUTION:The photographic sensitive material is constituted so as to contain at least one compd. expressed by the formula, wherein R is a linear or branched alkylene group, linear or branched alkenylene group, linear or branched aralkylene group or arylene group; Z is a polar substituting group; X is H atom, alkali metal atom, ammonium group, or a group cleaved under alkaline condition. By this method, a multilayered color photographic sensitive material having high interimage effect and high sharpness is obtd. without impairing other photographic characteristics. Also a black and white silver halide photographic sensitive material having high sharpness as well as high graininess is obtd. |
