PURPOSE:To obtain an automatic focusing device for a camera, automatically moving a photographic lens up to the retractive end so as to make the length of the photographic lens shortest, when an operation for removing the photographic lens from a camera main body is executed. CONSTITUTION:The automatic focusing device for the camera, is provided with a detecting means 103 detecting the detaching operation of an attaching/ detaching means 101, and a control means 104 moving the photographic lens 100 up to the retractive end so as to make the length of the photographic lens 100 shortest, by a driving means 102, when the detaching operation of the photographic lens 100 is detected by the detecting means 103, the photographic lens 100 is moved up to the retractive end and then, can be removed, at the time of interchanging a lens. |
