PURPOSE:To easily produce an inexpensive and exclusive in-circuit emulator ICE in a short period by controlling an I/O controller and a user circuit provided around a CPU by means of an external general-purpose CPU. CONSTITUTION:A CPU core 2 is provided together with the I/O controllers 3a-3n or a user circuit. The drive of the core 2 contained in an LSI is stopped via an external terminal of the LSI. At the same time, a means is added to separate the core 2 from a CPU bus 4 and also connects the user circuit and the controllers 3a-3n contained in the LSI to an external CPU via the bus 4 connected to the LSI external terminal. Then the controllers 3a-3n provided around the CPU contained in an ASIC microcomputer 1 and the user circuit of a memory controller, etc., are completely separated from the CPU and also can be controlled at the outside of the microcomputer 1 by a CPU bus signal. |
