The glass panel (1) is subjected to a heat protection treatment and is proofed against constant temperature change, bending failure or impact. It is brought up to its bending temperature and subsequently cooled, and its surface weight is about 2.5 kg/m<2>. It withstands temperature of at least 250 deg. C. The panel is pref. 6 mm thick and has ground edges and rounded corners. There is a ceramic based self adhesive foil (6) on top of the panel between it and the stove (7), which can withstand temperature of up to 1200 deg. centigrade. The panel can be smooth or structured glass in a variety of shapes from square to circular. ADVANTAGE - Can be installed at a later date without disturbing the floor surface.
