<p>PURPOSE:To provide recording liquid for ink jet which has good recording and discharging characteristics and produces distinct printed image having good water resistance and weathering resistance, by a method wherein a specified cpd is incorporated into water. CONSTITUTION:There is obtd. recording liquid by incorporating 0.1-15wt% of a cpd. of formula I [where Q1 is (substd.) phenyl, naphthyl; Q2 is (substd.) phenyl; R is methyl, phenyl -COONa] such as the cpd. of formula II into water or water in admixture with a water-soluble org. solvent such as an alcohol. When liquid droplets are electrically charged and used, it is preferred to use the recording liquid having a specific resistance of 10<-3>-10<11>OMEGAcm.</p> |
