PURPOSE:To provide a ceramic composite member having excellent room temperature strength, reduced in lowering of strength at a high temperature and also excellent in high temperature strength. CONSTITUTION:The objective ceramic composite member is obtained by heating an Al allay containing Si at 1000-1100 deg.C in the air to oxidize the Al, heating the alloy at 1250-1350 deg.C in the air before finishing oxidation reaction to simultaneously oxidize the Si and residual Al and form a mullite layer on the surface by reaction sintering. |
