PURPOSE:To maintain the surface potential of a photoreceptor after charging in a constant value, by changing a current flowing through the photoreceptor in accordance with change of the charging range of the photoreceptor. CONSTITUTION:Movable plates 9, 9' are moved to the copy width positions of original 2 and exactly situated with thread 13, 13' by according indices 12, 12' to the width of original 2 on original platen glass 1. Photosensitive paper 8 is fed in the direction of arrow A, moved on a metal plate located under charger 3, and when the paper 8 surface is uniformly charged, dicpharge of charger 3 to the parts of paper 8 situated under plates 9, 9' are restricted by plates 9, 9'. When the charging range of paper 8 is changed by plates 9, 9' without being charged, rollers 14a, 14a' are rotated respectively, and the rotary shafts of variable resistors 23, 23' are rotated interlocked with them, resulting in changing their resistance values. |
