The secondary-water feed of a steam generator is carried out by a toric or semi-toric collector (manifold) (38) placed in the bottom of the annular recirculation space (32) of the generator, in a part (36) of greater diameter of the outer shell (casing). The inner shell (26) surrounding the tube bundle (24) delimits internally the collector (38) and supports it. The collector (38) is perforated with holes (40) which ensure a mean vertical flow of the secondary water in the annular space (32). The cross-section of these holes is advantageously chosen so as to trap, in the collector, the migrant bodies originating from the secondary-water circuit which could damage the tubes of the steam generator. At least one access opening makes it possible to remove these migrant bodies from the collector during maintenance operations. <IMAGE>
