The present invention relates to a safety device for an individual firearm, allowing electronic locking or unlocking of the said weapon, housed within heel plates (11), the device including a guide for the spring of the dog associated with a tension spring (8), linked in a known way to the trigger, and characterised in that the travel of the spring guide for the dog (7) can be blocked by the travel of a stop piece, the movement of which is provided by an electromagnetic force (5), slaved by an electronic device (13) controlled by a signal received from a means external to the weapon (2), the whole of the device being powered by an independent electricity source. <IMAGE>
